{"id":689,"date":"2024-04-18T09:37:18","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T07:37:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/?p=689"},"modified":"2025-05-21T15:00:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T13:00:15","slug":"integrated-report-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/integrated-report-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Integrated Report 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Navigating Resilience in the Era of Hyperconnectivity<br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During its second year as a <strong>Benefit Corporation<\/strong>, <strong>Studio SHIFT<\/strong> has made resilience the cornerstone of its activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Integrated Report 2023<\/strong>, titled &#8220;<strong>Navigating Resilience in the Era of Hyperconnectivity<\/strong>,&#8221; tells the story of our commitment to <strong>promoting positive social impact<\/strong> <strong>through<\/strong> <strong>innovative design solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, we want to share the journey undertaken, the results achieved, and our future perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Year of Challenges and Adaptation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>2023 has been a year of extraordinary adaptability for <strong>Studio SHIFT<\/strong>. That&#8217;s why we have expanded our collaborations, involving not only colleagues and clients but also stakeholders, European partners, universities, and other key organizations. Thus, our <strong>value chain<\/strong> has become more hybrid, horizontal, and distributed, reflecting the complexity of the <strong>digital world <\/strong>in which we operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the <strong>principle of feedback<\/strong>, we have learned to receive and use external feedback to adapt and improve our way of working. This has made us more <strong>resilient and anti-fragile<\/strong>, able to face future challenges with greater confidence and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Achievements in Summary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increased focus on <strong>co-design<\/strong>: We have seen a growing demand for our <strong>co-design services<\/strong>, particularly for <strong>design sprints<\/strong>, hackathons, and collaborative strategic foresight activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanded research and development: We have increased investments in research and development, focusing on applying <strong>design thinking <\/strong>to the challenges of <strong>social innovation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthened pro bono commitment: We have dedicated a significant portion of our time (7% of total produced value) and resources to <strong>pro bono projects<\/strong>, supporting organizations committed to <strong>social good<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expanded geographical scope: We have expanded our <strong>international presence<\/strong>, collaborating with partners and clients across Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" src=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-1024x614.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-687\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-1024x614.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-300x180.png 300w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-768x461.png 768w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-1536x922.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/flussi-numeri-shift-2048x1229.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tangible Impact: Benefits for All<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Studio SHIFT&#8217;s work<\/strong> has had a tangible impact on all our stakeholders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We have helped our clients <strong>develop innovative solutions<\/strong> that have met their <strong>strategic needs<\/strong> and created <strong>positive social impact<\/strong> for their key targets. The indirect impacts of our work this year primarily concern minors, disabilities (physical and cognitive), and the staff of other <strong>social enterprises<\/strong>. This latter segment of beneficiaries consolidates a growing trend related to the effective use of <strong>design thinking and co-design approaches\/tools for organizational design <\/strong>or for improving Employee Experience.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The work environment offered by <strong>Studio SHIFT<\/strong> has continued to encourage the growth and <strong>professional development<\/strong> of our employees; in addition to <strong>on-field learning opportunities<\/strong> such as trips and conferences, which have helped maintain high levels of motivation and engagement among employees. <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our projects have contributed to the <strong>improvement of communities<\/strong>, both locally and internationally. For example, we have donated <strong>1% for Planet to the DS 4Communities project<\/strong> with a first international edition in Bogot\u00e1, benefiting <strong>the Ocasa Cooperative <\/strong>and <strong>the Youth Council<\/strong>. We also made a mini-journey of <strong>strategic planning and marketing <\/strong>for the Berlin artist collective <strong>UTOPIA TOOLBOX<\/strong> and we have developed activities of <strong>design thinking and career design<\/strong> within the <strong>Erasmus+ program<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, initiatives such as &#8220;<strong>IO Leggo<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>SFI &#8211; Experiment, Do, Learn<\/strong>&#8221; have had a <strong>positive impact<\/strong> on the communities in our territory, including fragile and underrepresented groups, confirming our commitment to a more <strong>inclusive and sustainable society<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Looking to the Future: New Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead to 2024, we have identified several key areas to focus our efforts on: expanding our projects in the areas of culture and green transition, focusing on resilience to climate change, but also expanding our inclusion activities, supporting marginalized communities and promoting diversity and equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, we want to continue to value collaboration and co-creation, and remain a reference point for our community, offering support and resources to those who share our vision of a more sustainable and inclusive future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are confident that 2024 will be another year of growth and success: we will do our best to contribute to a more collaborative and anti-fragile world and we would love to have you by our side.
