This concept, explored by our founder <strong>Elena Giunta <\/strong>during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/abundance-fellowship-a-new-way-of-thinking-about-the-economy\/\"><strong>Abundance Fellowship<\/strong><\/a>, has become the lens through which we\u2019ve interpreted our work and outlined our future directions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why, in addition to the account of our activities, the 2024 <strong>Integrated Report <\/strong>\u2013 inspired by the <strong>Six Capitals framework<\/strong> \u2013 also tells the story of our commitment to <strong>generating shared value <\/strong>for stakeholders and in the territories we engage with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><br>From scarcity to abundance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/abundance-fellowship-a-new-way-of-thinking-about-the-economy\/\"><strong>Abundance Fellowship<\/strong><\/a> challenged prevailing economic paradigms by focusing on reciprocity, sharing, and a <strong>holistic view of prosperity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this experience, we came to realize that <strong>financial capital <\/strong>is only one of the many forms of wealth we can access. Our impact is also measured by our ability to nurture the relational, intellectual, experiential, cultural, natural, and spiritual capital of our work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These reflections led to the launch of our <strong>new business eco-social regeneration program<\/strong>: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/abundance-fellowship-a-new-way-of-thinking-about-the-economy\/\"><strong>Abundance Club<\/strong><\/a>. With this initiative, we aim to support small organizations with &#8220;abundant ideas&#8221; \u2014 those capable of generating significant impact but often lacking the resources to make it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-1536x1024.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Team3.2-1-2048x1365.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A year of abundant values<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, <strong>Studio SHIFT<\/strong> generated and received \u201cabundant value\u201d in various forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>High-impact projects:<\/strong> We continued to work on initiatives close to our hearts, focusing on <strong>inclusive places<\/strong>, <strong>rural areas<\/strong>, <strong>mental well-bein<\/strong>g, and <strong>organizational design for digital and green innovation in the Third Sector<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/between-italy-and-europe-studio-shifts-projects-supported-by-the-tandem-voices-of-culture-and-erasmus-networks\/\">Our European projects<\/a> gave us \u201cabundant experiences\u201d in networking and learning within international contexts.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Human Capital growth:<\/strong> We firmly believe in the value of the team we work with. In 2024, our team expanded, confirming the Studio as a <strong>gender-balanced workplace<\/strong> that supports individual growth, with transparent pay policies and flexible working arrangements. We also invested in continuous training for our Shifters and welcomed new talent through internships aimed at <strong>professional development<\/strong>.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Commitment to sustainability (Productive and Natural Capital):<\/strong> We continued to implement our<strong> green policy<\/strong>, reducing our Studio\u2019s <strong>environmental impact<\/strong> through conscious choices in energy use, the selection of <strong>eco-social suppliers<\/strong>, and the promotion of <strong>sustainable mobility<\/strong>. We also prioritized online sessions and adopted <strong>paperless practices<\/strong>. Additionally, we committed 1% of our annual revenue to organizations working in<strong> environmental protection<\/strong> and <strong>social inclusion<\/strong>.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge generation (Intellectual Capital):<\/strong> We strengthened our positioning in the areas of social change and co-creation.<br>We launched new communication tools such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/newsletter\"><strong>\u201cShift-IN\u201d Newsletter<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/make-a-shift\/\"><strong>digital magazine \u201cMakeAShift\u201d<\/strong><\/a>. Our team members also contributed actively to knowledge dissemination through lectures, conferences, and publications on topics like <strong>adolescent mental health<\/strong> (see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/project-mi-sento-design-at-the-service-of-youth-mental-health\/\"><strong>\u201cMi sento\u201d project<\/strong><\/a>),<strong> educational spaces<\/strong>, and <strong>regenerative urbanism<\/strong>.<br>We were proud to host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/eit-community-ignite-neb-ds4planet-festival-innovation-and-sustainability\/\"><strong>EIT Community Ignite NEB<\/strong><\/a> event, which culminated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/eit-community-ignite-neb-ds4planet-festival-innovation-and-sustainability\/\"><strong>Design Sprint 4 Planet Festival<\/strong><\/a>, documented in our latest publication. Participation in the <strong>NEB Gathering in Barcelona<\/strong> also provided further opportunities for learning and international exchange.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Network building (Social and Relational Capital):<\/strong> We continued to invest in strengthening and expanding our network at local, national, and international levels. We collaborated with for-profit and non-profit organizations, using <strong>design as a lever for improving work quality, innovating services, and caring for the Planet<\/strong>. Our team is active in several professional networks and serves on scientific committees and evaluation boards.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaborative projects:<\/strong> Our commitment took shape in community-led initiatives such as <strong>Participative Futures 4Planet<\/strong>, <strong>EMPOWERmental<\/strong>, <strong>MC8Y @LaStanza<\/strong>, <strong>Greening Italy 2024<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/alpha-skills-project\/\"><strong>Alpha Skills<\/strong><\/a>. These projects demonstrate our ability to work across different social change domains \u2013 from environmental sustainability to social inclusion \u2013 using participatory and <strong>co-design approaches<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"410\" src=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-1024x410.png\" alt=\"SHIFT Flussi di valore 2024\" class=\"wp-image-1119\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-1024x410.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-768x307.png 768w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-1536x614.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Flussi-2024-2048x819.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our commitment to shared value<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We reaffirmed our strong commitment to donating <strong>1% for the Planet<\/strong> and offering <strong>around 6% of our work pro-bono for Social Impact<\/strong>.<br>We are proud to have reached new, fragile, and underrepresented groups in 2024, expanding our projects in the fields of culture and green transition.<br>We also strengthened our offering in <strong>true co-creation<\/strong> and focused our interventions on <strong>HR and organizational design<\/strong>, leveraging innovative methodologies such as <strong>Lego Serious Play\u00a9<\/strong> and <strong>game design<\/strong> (see projects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/en\/capacity-building-in-organizations-the-edit-and-tag35-projects\/\"><strong>TAG35<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studioshift.it\/design-playfully-change-with-a-smile\/\"><strong>Design Playfully<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><br>Looking ahead to 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we look to the future, we\u2019re ready to continue this journey with renewed energy \u2014 building on our achievements, exploring new networks in Italy and across Europe, launching fresh<strong> learning formats<\/strong>, and listening closely to those we work with to better measure satisfaction and impact.To all <strong>Studio SHIFT<\/strong> clients and funders: thank you.
